A bird, a road, and a very bad idea
The chicken road game is the funniest thing in the arcade and it is not close. You are a chicken. There is a road. There are lanes. Each lane you survive makes you richer and each lane you attempt might turn you into a small feathered anecdote. The whole premise is a joke that has been told for a hundred years, and somebody finally built the punchline as a betting game.
What makes it more than a gag is the pacing. Every lane is a separate, deliberate act. You do not cross the road, you choose to cross it, one strip of tarmac at a time, and each choice is made in full knowledge that the last one worked and this one might not.
It is Crash with legs, essentially - the same rising number, the same voluntary stop button - except that instead of an abstract curve you are watching a bird, and somehow that changes everything.
